The airport is situated in one of the most important areas of Italy, characterized by a unique, environmental and historic value. The airport offers a privileged position, also from a technical point of view, being the only airport for passenger airline flights in the Umbria region. The infrastructures of the airport guarantee the presence of navigation aids for the aircraft, (radio assistance) which facilitate the training programmes, as there is no need to move to other airports.
Night Flight
One of the few in Italy, the “San Francesco di Assisi Airport” is open to night traffic, VFR NIGHT, for flights of the general aviation.
The airplane runway, more than 2,000 meters long, guarantees safe taking off and landing, also during instrumental flight.
